Is there a way to have an actual App for this? Not just a web service? Would love to have this on my iPhone/iPad for entering orders and getting alerts of new orders.

We actually have this as an “app” on our iPhone and iPad and use the POS for all of our markets ‘ Pop up shops.
Simply Bread had instructions for creating it as an “app” on your front screen

As long as the web access is still available; I do not wish to download yet another memory-draining app onto my phone and don’t want to make my customers do so either 😬

Thing would be really nice. I do have it “saved to my homepage” so it’s like an app, which I love that I don’t have to go to safari to find it at least, but the idea of push notifications in a real app would be nice too.

You can save the web app to your phone as an app! Looks and functions like a regular app.
